Anesthesia & Surgery

Surgery is stressful—
for you and for your pet

At Aspire Veterinary Center, we believe the standard of care should be nothing less than exceptional. We know that when you hand your leash over to us, you are trusting us with a family member.
That is why we have invested in premium technology, single-use safety protocols, and a low-stress environment. Our goal is simple: ensure your pet is safer, more comfortable, and recovers faster.

Here is exactly how we go above and beyond for your best friend.

1. Premium Safety & Anesthesia

Most clinics use standard protocols. We use the advanced ones.

Sevoflurane vs. Isoflurane: We exclusively use
Sevoflurane gas for anesthesia. Unlike the older “Iso” gas used by many other clinics, Sevoflurane is smoother, easier on your pet’s internal organs, and allows for a much faster, clear-headed recovery.

Sterile, Single-Use Tubes: We use a brand new endotracheal tube for every single patient. We never clean and reuse tubes between pets, completely eliminating the risk of cross-contamination.

Cardiac-Safe Medications: We utilize high-quality, cardiac-safe drugs tailored specifically to your pet’s age and health status to ensure a smooth induction and a quick wake-up.
Dedicated Oxygen Therapy: Every patient receives dedicated oxygenation before induction and after recovery to keep their oxygen levels optimal and their organs protected throughout the entire process.

2. Unmatched Comfort (The "Ouch-Free" Promise)

We focus on the small details that make a big difference in pain and stress management.

Pain-Free IV Start: We believe even the initial poke should be painless. We apply a lidocaine block to numb the skin before placing the IV catheter, ensuring your pet doesn’t feel the needle.

No Metal Clamps: We use gentle adhesive draping to secure the sterile field, rather than traditional metal clamps that can pinch or bruise the skin.
Active Warming: Anesthesia can naturally drop body temperature. We combat this by actively warming your pet throughout the procedure and placing them in temperature-controlled heated cages immediately upon recovery.

A Multi-Sensory Calm Environment: We take the “scary” out of the hospital experience. Our treatment area is kept quiet, utilizing soft, soothing music designed to reduce anxiety. We invest time settling your pet before any procedure starts so they drift off feeling safe, relaxed, and cared for.

3. Hyper-Vigilant Monitoring

You can’t manage what you don’t measure.

Multiparameter Monitoring: We don’t just watch your pet; we use advanced medical monitors to track every vital sign—Heart rate & rhythm, oxygen levels (SpO2), blood pressure, CO2, and temperature, ensuring they stay at the perfect depth of anesthesia.

Human Supervision: Monitors are great, but human eyes are better. We have dedicated staff strictly supervising your pet from the moment they sleep until they are fully awake and standing.

Trust the experts with your pet's procedure.

From routine spays to complex soft-tissue surgeries, we combine advanced technology with a compassionate touch to ensure the best possible outcome.
